Work Commences on 'Outdoor Event Area' Project
Work commences on 'outdoor event area' project near Workington Leisure Centre.Our Civil Engineering & Highways division commence work this week to create a new outdoor events and activity area in Workington.
The project includes new pathways, paved areas, seat installation and events space for the televisual screening of major events for the public to view.
The project was made possible by accelerated funding from the Government, intended to boost the economy in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding money will also be used on several other projects planned for the Workington area
