Great to see work progressing on our project outside Workington Leisure Centre to create a new events and activity space. Thanks to Thomas Armstrong Construction Ltd. for their work so far.
The funding for the project has come via ‘accelerated funding’ from the Government’s Towns Fund initiative. We have a bid in to the main fund for Workington for a range of regeneration projects which could see an investment of around £25m in the town.
