Gatehouse Security Guard – Join Our Team!
Location: Flimby, Maryport
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 12-hour shift pattern (operated 24 hrs per day, 365 days per year)
Contract Type: Full Time/ Permanent
About the Role:
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Gatehouse Security Guard to join our security team. Based at the main entrance of a busy site, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, and staff—ensuring safety, security, and smooth access control.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control access to the site via the gatehouse
• Conduct ID checks and issue visitor passes
• Maintain accurate logs of vehicle and personnel movements
• Perform regular patrols and report any suspicious activity
• Respond to alarms and incidents in a calm, professional manner
• Liaise with emergency services when required
What We’re Looking For:
• Valid SIA Licence (Desirable)
• Previous experience in a security or gatehouse role (Preferred)
• Excellent communication and observational skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Basic IT skills for logging and reporting
• A professional, courteous, and proactive attitude
