About Us:
Thomas Armstrong (Concrete Blocks) Ltd is one of the largest private block suppliers in the industry. With a rich history and a solid foundation, we have grown to become a leading supplier of concrete blocks, aggregates, and cement to the building, ready-mixed concrete, and construction industries.
We proudly supply a wide range of concrete blocks from various plants throughout the North of England. Our extensive product range is readily available for supply to merchants and direct to clients and customers across the Northwest and Northeast of England. Our privately-owned fleet of 70 modern heavy goods vehicles, each capable of carrying up to 30 tonnes, ensures timely and efficient delivery.
About the Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment and as part of a team. If you are reliable, committed, and hardworking, we want to hear from you!
Hours of Work:
• Monday to Friday, 2-shift rotation:
• Week 1: 05:00 to 15:00
• Week 2: 14:45 to 23:45 (Saturday working as required)
Holiday Entitlement:
• 21 days + statutory bank holidays (3 days to be kept for Christmas closedown)
Salary:
• £13.50 per hour, plus £1.30 shift allowance
About You:
The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and production, with experience in process operation and relevant certifications for operating the plant. Training will be provided for all other aspects of the job.

• A highly safety-conscious and motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm to work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Previous experience within a similar industry is preferred (but not essential).
