In this section we show that Thomas Armstrong (Concrete Blocks) Ltd is committed to preventing pollution and to conducting its operational and business activities in an environmentally responsible manner.

 

We have an ongoing programme of installing Environmental Management Systems in all our manufacturing facilities in line with the requirments of ISO 14001:2004. This process is well underway and we achieved our first full certification for the Airtec aeated block process in March 2009.

 

Furthermore, we are continually looking for ways of eliminating waste in our facilities by streamlining processes, installing energy efficient equipment and minimising the needless loss of heat which can be used to cure the blocks.

 

Our Environmental Policy (including Stocks Blocks Ltd) is available to download as well as our ISO 14001 certificate. As we achieve further certification, these will be available here too.
