MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Head Office, FLIMBY, Maryport

We have an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant with a minimum of 5 year’s experience in the management of accounting functions, including appropriate qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA or QBE with strong sector experience. 


Prior experience in working within the Construction Industry preferred, including knowledge of the financial and commercial terms and issues involved.  Knowledge of Navision accounting software is an advantage.


You will effectively manage all the finance and accounting aspects of the company activities and the services provided, including:

  • Preparing monthly Management Accounts;
  • Management of the fixed asset register;
  • Analysis and charging information and expenditure;
  • Reconciliation of control accounts and inter-company balances;
  • Monthly costing reports;
  • Preparation of VAT and submission to HMRC;
  • Sub-contractor management;
  • Prepayments, accruals, P&L and balance sheet;
  • Stock analysis;
  • WIP management;
  • Management of bad debt provisions;
  • Year-end procedures, preparation of financial statements and liaison with auditors;
  • Development of financial systems and continued improvement and maintenance.

 

Job Type:         Permanent, full time

Salary:             Up to 40K (dependent on Skills, Knowledge and Experience)

            Discretionary Bonus

            Attractive Company Pension Scheme 

Hours:             Full Time         08:30am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday

                                                   08:30am - 4:30pm Friday

Holidays:         26 days holiday (plus statutory bank holidays)

 

The ideal candidate will report direct to the Managing Director with a reporting line to the Financial Director, the role will support the business in making key financial decision in a fast paced, challenging environment and adopt best practice in financial management.

  • Ability to effectively manage priorities and work to deadlines;
  • Analytical with an eye for detail;
  • Flexible – able to work additional hours if required at busy periods;

  • Team player: inclusive and transparent style;
  • Good understanding of Excel, Word and Power Point (pivots and v lookups)
  • Ability to communicate to employees at various levels within the company and outside stakeholders

CLASS 2 DRIVER (with Crane Experience)

We are seeking to recruit a permanent, full time Class 2 Driver (with crane experience) to work out of our site based at Aintree, Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company working in the manufacturing of specialist concrete block products.
  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday 0630 – 1700 (½ hr lunch)
  • Starting salary between £28,000 - £31,000 per annum plus daily bonus (when achieved)
  • 21 days annual leave plus statutory Bank Holidays (29 days)
